Your lips will go through several stages of healing following your appointment. Changes in colour, texture, and sensitivity are a normal part of the process. Following these aftercare instructions carefully will support optimal healing and long-lasting results.
Day 1: Immediately After Your Appointment
Following your treatment, your lips may appear more vibrant in colour and may feel dry, tight, tender, or slightly swollen. These are normal responses as your lips begin the healing process.
Using a clean paper towel, apply gentle pressure to the lips for approximately 4 hours following your appointment to absorb any excess lymph fluid.
After this period, apply a thin layer of recommended aftercare ointment to keep your lips hydrated.
Avoid kissing, rubbing, or any unnecessary friction on the treated area.
Days 1–3: Hydration & Protection
During the first few days, your lips require consistent moisture and gentle care.
Apply your aftercare ointment throughout the day to keep your lips comfortably hydrated.
Avoid spicy, oily, heavily seasoned, or irritating foods.
After eating, gently rinse your lips, pat dry, and reapply ointment.
Avoid touching your lips unless applying aftercare with clean hands or a clean cotton swab.
Days 4–7: Peeling & Colour Transition
During this stage, your lips may begin to peel as part of the natural healing process. Colour may appear significantly lighter as the skin renews.
Allow your lips to naturally exfoliate—do not pick, peel, or rub away dry skin.
Continue keeping your lips moisturized throughout the day.
Remember that the healed colour will gradually return as your skin continues to regenerate.
Weeks 2–6: Continued Healing
Once peeling has finished, your lips may appear softer and lighter in colour. This is completely normal. Pigment will continue to develop and settle over the following weeks.
Continue maintaining hydration for the best healed results.
Your final colour will continue to evolve as your lips fully heal.
Weeks 6–8: Fully Healed Results
Your lips are considered fully healed around the 6–8 week mark. At this stage, your true healed colour will be visible.
A perfection session is recommended to refine the shape, adjust colour, and complete your desired lip blush result.
During the First 14 Days, Please Avoid:
Exercise that causes excessive sweating, swimming, saunas, hot tubs, and prolonged heat exposure.
Direct sun exposure and UV exposure.
Chemical treatments, laser treatments, or active skincare products (including Retin-A, glycolic acid, or exfoliants) on or near the treated area.
Touching the treated area unnecessarily.
Environments with excessive airborne debris or conditions that may expose the area to contaminants.
Excessive alcohol consumption, as it may interfere with the healing process.
